Two Individuals Charged for Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder in the wake of the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.

Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
