The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.

Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was made after an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving young women.

The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

He has published more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
