FC Barcelona to Host Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
